Chamfer

A chamfer cuts off one or more lengthwise edges of a part.

When to use it

Use a chamfer on visible posts and beams to soften the edges and stop them splintering. Pick exactly which of the four edges to chamfer.

Length	mm	from 1	To the end	How far the chamfer runs. Unset means to the end of the part.
Depth	mm	from 1	5	Size of the chamfer.
Run-out		Square, Angular, Round	Square	How the chamfer ends where it stops before the part end: angular, square or round.
Edge bottom-back			on	Chamfer this edge.
Edge back-top			on	Chamfer this edge.

Default: what Add fills in on a 3000 mm part of 120 x 120 mm.

Select the part in the Parts list.
Under Extra processings, click Add.
Type chamfer in the search field and pick Chamfer.
Leave Position X at 0 and Length unset to chamfer the whole part, or set both for a stretch.
Set Depth, pick the Run-out, and switch the four edges on or off.
Check that the part shows a green check. If not, open the Issues tab.
